i feel that this boy found his dad, god. i guess his general father left him abandoned. so basically, i feel that whenevr you get lost, god will always be by your side to help you no matter in what situation the person is in.

i kinda see how you thought that God was the Little boys father. but in my opinion i felt that God was the guiding light in this poem to help lead him TO his mother. I agree with what you said, i think god will always be there to help you lead you in the direction.
good looking at it. i think its that the father is really the sun. the sun begins to set leaving the boy in darkness and scared. for hr is lost in the midst of the night looking for his way home and asked god to help him. good work DOZO
